How it works
Behind a Medetatio answer.
Medetatio checks the question, finds relevant Scripture, builds an explanation from those passages, and reviews the answer before showing it.
Technical outline
1. Checking for misuse
Medetatio looks for attempts to bypass its rules or misuse the system. Requests flagged for misuse are stopped before the search begins.
2. Finding relevant Scripture
Medetatio looks for a connection between the question and Scripture, then retrieves passages from the King James Version and Berean Standard Bible that help answer it. If it cannot find a biblical connection, it stops here.
3. Reviewing the passages
Medetatio grades the retrieved passages for their relevance and usefulness in answering the question. This review takes place before the explanation is built.
4. Choosing how to present the answer
Medetatio selects a response style suited to the question.
5. Building the explanation
Medetatio draws the relevant passages together and explains how the biblical text addresses the original question.
6. Checking the answer
A separate comparison model, called a cross-encoder, scores how directly the explanation addresses the original question. Medetatio uses this relevance score to decide whether the answer passes the final check. A relevance score alone does not establish that every claim is correct.
7. Returning the answer or rephrasing the question
If the answer passes, Medetatio shows it to the user. If it fails, Medetatio rewords the question and runs it through the process again.
